Our fate

Today's 5 years ago, April came into my life, as I was celebrating my 19th Birthday. She was the cutest puppy to ever live. She was shy and spent her whole day sleeping and snoring away. It didn't take her long to slowly crept into our lives and our hearts, she was soon the baby of the house. Friends came around just to see her, bring her endless gifts after gifts. She was the conversation starter and still is. "How's April?", and so it goes...

She was a gift from a bunch of my lovely friends, tens of them, who are now her God-Mommies and Daddies, also uncles and aunties. Just because of this, she creates a special bond within us all and by looking at her, we are reminded of our friendship.

The preparation of her getting into my life was not easy, however everything seems to be so wrong to be so right. I was supposed to have adopted a male Maltese puppy, named Polo, given by a friend to my brother. I begged him to let me keep Polo, so he agreed, however my landlord didn't allow me to keep any dogs. I decided to move. Just the day I found a great house whose landlord allowed me to keep Polo, the little boy disappeared. No one knows if he has ran away, but he was suspected to be dognapped.

A few months later, my brother, with my other 3 girlfriends, Vari, Yulia and Epin drove to somewhere 2 hours away in the suburb to pick up a Maltese. They searched for the puppies through the Trading Post. They called and booked the pup. When they reached, the pups are sold away already. The breeder even came up and asked if they want a few days old Spaniel, almost handed the poor pup to them immediately. Bro and the rest refused as the pup looked like a lizard still.

Friska was at home standing by the phone and the internet to look through other puppies for sale. There was another one, so they drove again to another suburb. When they reached, they were ushered into a room with puppies. 3 fat and fluffy males and one skinny female runt were there. The males were already playing and jumping around the only female, teasing her non stop. The girls were contemplating to get one of the boys instead as they were all so active and cute. However, Vari remembered that I have always liked a female, so they reluctantly agreed to take the only female home.

And that's how April's life is decided to be handed over to me.
