Our fate

Today's 5 years ago, April came into my life, as I was celebrating my 19th Birthday. She was the cutest puppy to ever live. She was shy and spent her whole day sleeping and snoring away. It didn't take her long to slowly crept into our lives and our hearts, she was soon the baby of the house. Friends came around just to see her, bring her endless gifts after gifts. She was the conversation starter and still is. "How's April?", and so it goes...

She was a gift from a bunch of my lovely friends, tens of them, who are now her God-Mommies and Daddies, also uncles and aunties. Just because of this, she creates a special bond within us all and by looking at her, we are reminded of our friendship.

The preparation of her getting into my life was not easy, however everything seems to be so wrong to be so right. I was supposed to have adopted a male Maltese puppy, named Polo, given by a friend to my brother. I begged him to let me keep Polo, so he agreed, however my landlord didn't allow me to keep any dogs. I decided to move. Just the day I found a great house whose landlord allowed me to keep Polo, the little boy disappeared. No one knows if he has ran away, but he was suspected to be dognapped.

A few months later, my brother, with my other 3 girlfriends, Vari, Yulia and Epin drove to somewhere 2 hours away in the suburb to pick up a Maltese. They searched for the puppies through the Trading Post. They called and booked the pup. When they reached, the pups are sold away already. The breeder even came up and asked if they want a few days old Spaniel, almost handed the poor pup to them immediately. Bro and the rest refused as the pup looked like a lizard still.

Friska was at home standing by the phone and the internet to look through other puppies for sale. There was another one, so they drove again to another suburb. When they reached, they were ushered into a room with puppies. 3 fat and fluffy males and one skinny female runt were there. The males were already playing and jumping around the only female, teasing her non stop. The girls were contemplating to get one of the boys instead as they were all so active and cute. However, Vari remembered that I have always liked a female, so they reluctantly agreed to take the only female home.

And that's how April's life is decided to be handed over to me.

Bows order!

The girls were pretty hyped about some bows order from overseas online shop. I was curious and apparently the bows are gorgeous. I can't resist ordering some for April, I think I do have a theme, Green and Pink... LOL... I love green, while April's coat matches most with Pink.
Hope it arrives as good as it looks like online!~

Debut Post

This blog was created and now reopened with the thoughts of my baby girl, to keep our memories alive, wherever we are, many many years down the road. She has been the greatest companion and has grown so much into everyone's hearts, especially mine.

I don't want to have any regrets in later years, whereby I would think how I should have taken more pictures of her, more videos of her. I have missed that 5 years of precious memories which I will slowly dig out of my rusty brain to this blog. I no longer want to miss a thing.

So, stay with us, on our most beautiful journey in life.

Myth Buster

A cousin saw somewhere in a magazine, non dog related one, that a dog would overcome their fear of thunderstorms if they are clothed in plastic bag. Being a desperate Mommy of a thunderstorm fear-er, I tried it on April. Do'h, what have I got to lose except that plastic bag.

Newest love-the-earth fashion, it's recyclable...

Oh My....

I have a cruel Mommy, is it SPCA reportable?

VERDICT: Bloody hell useless! Off to knock a cousin's head!

Earth Cafe

There's a meetup yesternight at Earth Cafe. Quite fun as it was Sasha's babies birthday and most of her kiddos were there. Pretty gorgeous Shihtzus I must say and all of them truly shine in their own way. Just too bad April isn't a pure Shihtzu, that's why her coat is one of a kind (not in the good way), it's neither Shihtzu nor Maltese. I get frustrated taking care of her unruly coat. Nevertheless, she is pretty in her own bitchy way too... Lol~

Personality Test

Look what I found on the net, a personality test for APRIL, based on her first name. Quite interestingly true... Hm.. You guys can find it on http://www.asiaflash.com/names/
Hihi.. look on the left side, for the one on pets.

  • Individualistic and independent, you dog lives with his head high and even with slight condescendence for what surrounds him. Don't intend to compel him to play gimmicks so as to show off. Believing himself to be unique and at the center of the world, it's rather he who expects others to entertain him!

  • It does not suit your dog to remain lain while doing nothing. What pleases him is rather the excitement of hunting and conquest even though he's realistic enough not to lose his time in useless pursuits.

  • Your dog is very particular about his appearance. He likes getting photographed and adores compliments. He eats with great appetite but only appreciates choice foods. If you've dared make him wait too long for his meal, cover him with caresses, otherwise you may trigger his anger.

  • Don't ever be indifferent to him. He needs to feel himself admired and appreciated in order to love you with all his heart.
